Shiny Chansey caught from FireRed LeafGreen Safari Zone. Here's a video I was beginning to think I would never make and upload for you guys to watch. This is by far my proudest and rarest shiny currently in my collection. I had seen 4 Chansey in total before catching which is a little under the expected amount using the Bait trick though when you consider that I threw a ball at the first one, 3 in total is very generous in terms of RNG. The heartbreak of seeing two of them flee during Safari Week first turn, first bait was horrendous and it did knock my confidence a bit. After a small break, I knew I had to catch her and I wasn't going to stop phasing until I did. Literally two hours after finishing my Roamer Quest on stream, I found her again and well, the video will do the rest of the talking. RNG is cruel but it can be so kind as well. I keep saying this but I don't think I'll ever top that night as a shiny hunter. Also really random but I was listening to Billie Eilish when I found her. Shout out to you Billie. In terms of stats; Chansey #1 took 25 phases to appear totaling 194,086 encounters Chansey #2 took 15 phases to appear totaling 104,044 encounters Chansey #3 took 2 phases to appear totaling 12,704 encounters Chansey #4 took 4 phases to appear totaling 18,096 encounters (caught) In total - 328,930 encounters to catch her.
