Clearing Reeds on a Frozen Lake | Discovering an Abandoned Fishing Hut

This is our first time walking down to the lake at our newly purchased lakeside farm. We clear reeds along the frozen shoreline to prepare for spring, creating a path so we can launch our fishing boats when the ice melts. The goal is simple — to reach the water again and fish for big northern pike. On our way through the forest down to the lake, we unexpectedly come across an old abandoned fishing hut hidden among trees and overgrown vegetation. No one seems to have been inside for a very long time. Inside, there are old tools and fishing equipment left behind. The hut is slowly being reclaimed by nature — and at one point, I even step through the fragile wooden floor. Winter work. Exploration. Nordic atmosphere. More from the lakeside farm coming soon.
