A 45-years-old Muslim man assaulted and forced to chant 'Jai Shri Ram'
In a horrific incident, a 45-years-old Muslim e-rickshaw driver was assaulted and paraded through the street on August 11. On Wednesday, the man was forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram” in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur town. A video of the incident was widely shared on social media. The video shows that the 45-year-old man’s daughter is holding on to him and requesting the accused leave him. An FIR was filed against five named persons. The local Police said three persons — Ajay, Rahul Kumar, and Aman Gupta — have been arrested in connection with the case. The police have identified the victim as Afsaar Ahmad.
