The JDM F20C engine has a higher compression ratio: 11.7:1 vs. USDM 11:1 The higher compression ratio requires 93 octane fuel to truly run properly, but it ran even better on 95 octane Ethanol Free race gas! The JDM engine can have the computer retard ignition timing on bad fuel, so you need to make sure you have good quality gas in your tank. The JDM engine is also almost impossible to buy without also buying an AP1 transmission already attached to it. Overall, the AP2 Transmission's smoother shifting, shorter 1-4 gears, paired with the higher power output of the JDM engine make for a MUCH more lively driving experience. But I should probably get bigger, wider wheels to handle the new increase in tail-happy behavior when pushed to the limits! My Honda S2000 broke down! I was driving and both the engine and clutch had what seems to be a total failure! What should I do??? The clutch pedal went dead, I barely made it to a parking lot, and I am even leaking oil. what should I do?? I want to put in a JDM Honda F20C, but is it worth it with the lean issue???
