In this video; I show you how I used Raspberry Pi Pico + DS18B20 temperature sensor + a buzzer to build a system that mimics real cricket chirping. The chirp rate speeds up or slows down with room temperature thanks to Dolbear’s Law. I walk through three versions of the code: from basic chirp → adding temperature dependency → final realistic sounding chirps (with jitter, pauses, temp-scaled pulse/gap etc.). Then I prank my brother by hiding the fake cricket and see how long it takes before he starts looking for the real insect!
