Lightroom comes with tons of presets also which I will take a look in another video. Lightroom has state of the art RAW processing engine. RAW is like a digital negative of your photo. Whenever possible I recommend to shoot RAW because it allows so much more flexibility when editing images later. You can set things like white balance after shooting and adjust exposure more, and what's there to lose? Memory cards are cheaper and cheaper nowadays and so is the hard disk space. It's no longer a valid excuse to not to shoot raw because the files are larger. In this tutorial I will show the settings I use in most cases to get most out of the RAW files I have from my digital camera. I like to set white balance and adjust exposure and contrast, and use Tone Curve which is a great way to add a bit of a "punch" to the image.
