The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is located in Boyertown, Pennsylvania and is dedicated to the preservation and display of vehicles that played an important role in the transportation history of the United States. The museum was founded in 1965 and is housed in a former factory building that was used to manufacture carriages and automobiles. The museum's collection includes more than 80 vehicles, ranging from horse-drawn carriages and sleighs to automobiles, trucks, and motorcycles. Many of the vehicles on display were manufactured by companies that were based in Pennsylvania, including the Reading Railroad, Mack Trucks, and the Boyertown Auto Body Works. One of the highlights of the museum is its collection of early automobiles, including a 1908 Overland Roadster, a 1912 Ford Model T, and a 1920 Kissel Gold Bug Speedster. Visitors can also see a wide range of trucks, including a 1921 Mack AB Truck, a 1948 International Harvester KB-1, and a 1963 Ford F-100. In addition to its vehicle collection, the Boyertown Museum also features exhibits on the history of transportation in the United States, including displays on the development of the automobile and the role of trucks in the shipping industry. The museum also offers educational programs for children and adults, including guided tours, workshops, and special events.
