Since the other theme shared by Amakna and Astrub is here now, why not make a small tangent and finish Astrub's stuff, here's the theme that plays only in Astrub, and to my memory always did. So "Astrub (Battle B)" would be Amakna's Battle C, sorry for that, i mixed stuff a lot trying to refresh my memory. There's probably very small instances where it also plays outside of Astrub but they're usually very small places related to the main quest and nothing more special. So let's just keep it small, here's Larvae, Tofus and Treechneels, 3 of the 7 families of Astrub. Their gimmicks are again limited by their status of begginer monsters, but they have their stuff going for them. Larvae are meant to teach you how elemental resistances and weakness work i think, aswell as the role of most elemental spells, Fire larvae for example get the "Scalded" state that lets them do area damage by exploding next turn, and they're weak to water spells, while their parallel, Blue larvae can take AP away from you and are weak to fire, and so on. Tofus are a bit weak, but as always, their gimmick is having a lot of MP, being an easy target if you're a ranger, but being an annoyance if you're melee. And Treechneels i think play more with status, one of them can heal, the spiders poison your AP/MP usage and the big tree can summon many spiders. Of which, also, the red one can get you tangled in her web and make you lose turns if i'm not wrong, but it's a rare thing to happen. Their bosses are interesting, Shin Larva spawns countless larvae eggs that will hatch into baby larvae if you don't step on them quickly. Royal tofu runs a lot and screams, debuffing you and pushing you away. And Treechneel i honestly don't remember, but she's a giant spider so you can get an idea. Not much more to say, cool music, i thought it played in a lot more places but doing this whole relisting of the OST makes me realize there's so few ridiculously recycled music that i can probably count them in one hand. Props to the composers and the person in charge of deciding to give most areas their own unique music, it's been happening more and more over the years to the point nowadays it's very rare to see new content that reuses old music.
