Columbus police send SWAT TEAM to arrest female predator as she arrives to victim's home

Columbus police sent the SWAT team to arrest 24-year-old licensed social worker Payton Shires for abusing a 13-year-old boy. Payton worked for the National Youth Advocate Program (a youth advocacy and counseling center) and used her position of authority as a counselor to groom the victim over several months. She would call and text him at all hours, remove him from school during the day, buy him vapes, and sexually assault him. Detectives discovered shocking videos of the abuse as Ms. Shires denied and lied throughout the investigation. -- At the time of her arrest, Payton had a fiancee and young child. After her arrest, she posted bond and was released. Weeks later, she purchased a firearm, went back to the victim's house, and tried to harm the child's mom. -- Weeks later, she was arrested again, and interrogated by detectives.
