So where do I start with the weekend? The fantastic Saturday with family carried over to a super Sunday. Saturday morning was a little enthusiastic with a big spin just after bunnies leap at around 90+ the back end breaking loose and causing a 360 degree rotation amazingly missing everything and leaving the car undamaged. Was dusted back off and we were back on it with the timed runs going back into the 37s after lunch. Really a great day spent with family and was so great to see Chris Bonfield, Layla, Harvey and Elsie who did an awesome job as pit crew. Sunday and thankfully no pirouettes required in the morning the car was back into the 37s for the first timed run. The first run after lunch was the best putting in a 37.25 a new Pb, under the record and slotted into 4th overall. Huge thanks to Paul Deacon and Shelly’s Dad for doing the tyre wraps on Sunday as Dad was on top paddock duties. Was a great weekend for Pb times with many falling. Big thanks to the 5 clubs for putting on such a great event and Wiscombe Park Hillclimb for preparing the hill. Was fantastic to see the large number of spectators through the trees, really made a fantastic atmosphere. Thanks to all the marshalling team as always fantastic job and so good to see so many of you. As always thanks to the officials, timekeepers and rescue. I couldn’t quite make that 36s but definitely gave it a good go. So great to see so many people having a good time. There is a 36s in there, may require a new set of tyres to get there but I’m sure the car can do it. Back to wiscombe next weekend for the MG event.
