Corridor 7: Alien Invasion, a first-person shooter developed by Capstone Software and published by IntraCorp and GameTek, debuted in March 1994 on MS-DOS. Built on the modified Wolfenstein 3D engine, the game combines classic FPS mechanics with a science fiction storyline. You step into the boots of a Special Forces soldier tasked with eliminating an alien threat unleashed after an interdimensional portal, the Vortex, is accidentally opened in a secret laboratory. The game spans 30 levels (40 in the CD version) and includes six bonus floors, with increasing challenges across multiple difficulty settings. The gameplay focuses on navigating maze-like environments, battling alien adversaries, and solving simple puzzles such as locating keycards to access locked areas. A proximity map and advanced visor features, including infrared and night vision, add tactical layers to the experience. Ammo and health management are crucial, with resources distributed via dispenser bays and health chambers. While the single-player campaign drives the narrative, the CD release introduced a multiplayer deathmatch mode supporting LAN and modem connections. You can even play as an alien, leveraging unique abilities like enhanced speed or endurance. However, despite these features, the game received lukewarm reviews. Critics often pointed out its reliance on an aging engine and lack of innovation compared to contemporary FPS titles like Doom. Although Corridor 7 garnered a modest cult following, plans for its sequel, Corridor 8: Galactic Wars, never materialized due to Capstone Software's bankruptcy. The music, composed by Joe Abbati, adds a moody and suspenseful atmosphere, enhancing the tension as you battle alien forces in the dark corridors. 00:00:00 Title Screen 00:02:22 Main Menu 00:03:06 Floor 1 00:04:45 Intermission Screen 00:05:23 Floor 2 00:08:51 Floor 3, 21 00:14:06 Floor 4 00:20:02 Floor 5, 27 00:25:20 Floor 6 00:29:54 Floor 7 00:33:22 Floor 8 00:36:50 Floor 9, 22 00:40:23 Floor 10 00:46:19 Floor 11 00:49:58 Floor 12 00:55:15 Floor 13 00:58:22 Floor 14, 28 01:02:39 Floor 15 01:05:34 Floor 16 01:10:40 Floor 17 01:15:14 Floor 18 01:16:30 Floor 19 01:17:47 Floor 20 01:22:32 Floor 23 01:24:38 Floor 24, 35 01:27:17 Floor 25 01:31:29 Floor 26 01:35:19 Floor 29 01:37:52 Floor 30 01:39:25 Floor 31 01:40:37 Floor 32 01:44:09 Floor 33 01:45:04 Floor 34 01:47:14 Floor 36
