I Got BANNED From The DEMON LIST.. Here's Why | Geometry Dash 2.1

Why was aeonair banned from the demon list? After completing Hard Machine as my new hardest demon, I went through with what I had talked about for a couple months on stream. Requesting a ban from the pointercrate demon list. Why? Well, the mental strain of attatching yourself to the list, and devaluing your own accomplishments because they fall down the list, and you can't keep up with grinding list points. I have beaten plenty levels, exclusively because they would net me a solid shot of dopamine from gaining more list points on the list, and after taking a step back and grinding hard machine, I realized how much it affected me when I woulnd't be able to keep up as much because of the pace of the list. I stepped back and started thinking about my motivation for grinding levels on the list to begin with, and with few exceptions, it was to grow my profile, and go higher on the statsviewer, which isn't what makes me have fun with the game to begin with. So I went cold turkey, and requested a full ban on the list, removing that motivation as a whole, allowing me to simply play the levels I want to play, because I think those levels are cool. Yes, I am aware it looks suspicious right after coming off a 4 month grind for a new hardest, however this decision was made long before I beat Hard Machine. It looks suspicious, but that's whatever. There is no proof of me hacking anything, anyway, and I hold extreme pride in my accomplishments in game, as well as my legitimacy. This was a decision made for my own sake. I also implore list grinders to step back and reconsider your motivations for why you grind the list, similarly to what I did. I don't suggest everyone asking for a ban, but I suggest everyone thinking about what makes you enjoy the game the most.
