OVERLAND TRACK. A Sandy Weather Adventure. Day 8. Pine Valley to Echo Point. 15.3kms

Leaving my special place, Pine Valley, today, a sense of sadness, but not darkness, I will be back one day. I felt a connection here, and perhaps the challenge of the climb added to it for me. I headed to Narcissus hut, but chose to continue onto Echo Point as I felt uncomfortable stopping at Narcissus. Easier walking. Watched my "poo' in the Sputnik fly overhead via the helicopter. That's a really weird feeling! haha. Met some lovely ladies at Echo Point, and as be it, we unknowingly would stay at the POD Inn in Launceston in a few days time. Lake St Clair is cold, but what a body of water! The deepest lake in Australia. 167metres deep! Washed, not swam, as got in too late and no warming sunshine. The upcoming end to this adventure is looming over me. I try to let it wash over, and enjoy the now. It's been a hell of an adventure so far!
