Trigger Warning: This video contains a mention of torture, which some viewers may find distressing. Meet Naomi and Alan, members of Citizens of the World Choir who travelled to Somerset, in the south-west of England, to film ‘Lullabies’ at Glastonbury Tor with the support of the National Trust. The experience was an absolute joy for the whole choir. This stunning location is steeped in history and is a special place for people of all ages and backgrounds. Thank you so much to the National Trust for preserving the nature and beauty of this place and making it accessible for all. ‘Lullabies’ - released on 20th June 2025 for World Refugee Day - speaks to the strength that people draw from familiarity with their culture and homeland. It is about our place in nature and celebrates themes of community, love and solidarity across continents. It was co-composed two of our Music Team, Meg Ella Brookes and Àánú Sodipe, and is the world’s first Welsh and Yoruba co-composed song! Citizens of the World Choir, established in 2017, exists to celebrate the artistry, heritage and humanity of people seeking sanctuary in the UK, and their allies.
