Join me on the journey of my first Fender Jazzmaster. This video started out as my review/demo of the Fender American Pro II Jazzmaster guitar. I knew going into this purchase that I was going to want to make some modifications and rewire the guitar to more of a vintage Jazzmaster and replace the pickups with some more accurate vintage Jazzmaster sounding pickups (I went with the Seymour Duncan Antiquity I set). Fender doesn’t currently make any middle ground vintage style Jazzmasters for left handed folks like me. Models like the American Vintage (I & II), American Performer, Player Series, etc., are only currently being made for right handed players. But that didn’t stop me from owning the Jazzmaster that I was looking for! Sit back and hang out as I talk about my initial thoughts on the guitar as it came stock, what mods I decided to make, and some A/B comparisons showing the sound before and after making the mods to the guitar. If you don’t want to hear the whole story, feel free to skip along to the parts that interest you with the following chapters: 0:00 Demo Track #1 (Pre-Mods) 1:13 Introduction 1:34 Why I Bought This Guitar 2:28 Left Handed Model Section 3:22 Demo Track #2 (Pre-Mods) 4:14 Initial Thoughts/Opinions 6:33 Modifications I’m Making 7:59 Demo Track #3 (Pre-Mods) 8:55 Modifications Time-lapse 10:15 Post Mod Comments Pt. 1 12:19 Demo Track #1 (Post-Mods) 13:32 Post Mod Comments Pt. 2 14:47 Demo Track #2 (Post-Mods) 15:40 Demo Track #3 (Post-Mods) 16:32 Pickup A/B Comparisons 17:07 Gear I’m Using 17:33 Neck Position (Pre-Mods) 17:47 Neck Position (Post-Mods) 18:02 Middle Position (Pre-Mods) 18:15 Middle Position (Post-Mods) 18:30 Bridge Position (Pre-Mods) 18:45 Bridge Position (Post-Mods) 19:00 Series Circuit (Pre-Mods) 19:19 Rhythm Circuit (Post-Mods) 19:38 Outro Gear Used in the Video: -Fender American Professional II Jazzmaster (LH) 3-Tone Sunburst -Ckaudio CDR22 Classic Amplifier -Two Notes Torpedo Captor X -Ckaudio Effects BC108 Silicon Fuzz -MXR Dyna Comp -Ckaudio Effects Court Jester Overdrive -1981 Inventions DRV -Boss MD-500 -Boss DD-500 -Boss RV-500 -Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface Backing Track Credits: Surf Riders Backing Track - Tom Conlon • Surf Rider guitar backing track Where The Waves Take Us by Purrple Cat | https://purrplecat.com/ Music promoted by https://www.chosic.com/free-music/all/ Creative Commons CC BY-SA 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...
