The Casbah Coffee Club in West Derby is somewhat of a hidden gem, known by big fans of The Beatles, The Merseybeat and those who know their rock and roll history. Set up by one of Liverpool's most unsung heroes, Mona Best, a tough and brave woman who was the mother of The Merseybeat Sound, this basement cellar would go on to shape the world of music and culture and in turn - change the world.
