It's time to visit the Gotthard Base Tunnel again, this time in the other direction! We set off in Basel on a cloudy morning, but just shortly after, the clouds disappear and a beautiful trip through the heart of Switzerland awaits us, with gorgeous morning scenes as we pass Lake Zug, Lake Lauerz and Lake Lucerne. The ride through the tunnel is UNCUT! Since our maximum speed is 100km/h (62mph), it takes quite some time to pass the total of 57 kilometers (35mi). Information about the Gotthard Base Tunnel will be displayed upon entry into the tunnel. Skip to 2:41:40 to see the sunlight again and enjoy the cabride further down south until we reach Bellinzona.
