So with a new gun with a 3 1/2 inch chamber I need to fill up a 3 inch cartridge case with something apart from the 1 oz of TSS. Rather than fill up the stack height with felt or cork I thought why not fill it up with steel? Steel will at least earn its keep by threatening ducks and geese. No wildfowl was ever killed by felt. So, we made a 42 gram (1.5 oz) duplex load. 1 oz of TSS No. 8's and 1/2 oz of Steel 3''s. Should fill a pattern and send a wall of death towards the target. But, it will still only work if it it's put on target.... I'll see if my shoulder can stand the barrage! Maybe a load best kept for the geese! No load data as it is as yet untested. I will get some to the proof house at some point in the future. Pattern test and field test and maybe even goose test coming soon....
