What began as a trespass call quickly escalated when officers located 55-year-old Lea Marie Kuchan, who was reportedly threatening people with rocks near a Subway restaurant. According to police reports, officers attempted to de-escalate the situation, but the suspect allegedly threw a rock that struck an officer. A taser was deployed, and she was taken into custody after a brief struggle. Kuchan was charged with Assault in the Third Degree, Malicious Mischief in the Third Degree, and Resisting Arrest. She was evaluated, cleared by medical staff, and booked into the Kitsap County Jail.
