The early church didn't preach “accept Jesus into your heart.” They proclaimed something far more radical: Jesus is Lord. That means Caesar is not Lord. Culture is not Lord. Our preferences, comfort, politics, and status are not Lord. Jesus is King right now. When we place Jesus at the center of our lives, discipleship becomes more than information. It becomes a new way of living. Our priorities change. Our purpose changes. Our lives begin to revolve around God’s mission instead of our own.
