Upload #1151 ~ HQ from UK 45 pictured ~~ Two Motown Covers of 'The Supremes' hits by the same groups, if were released with different label names strangely. "Where Did Our Love Go" tries but doesn't really understand the genre & it was the First Motown Hit in the UK. This one sounds a bit rushed without really getting the soulful Motown Sound, competent though if they do better on 'Baby Love'. B side is The Typhoons "I'm Into Something Good" the Hermans Hermits pop hit. Embassy did do two earlier Motown Song covers, 'Do You Love Me' and 'Money' but these were based on the Beat Group versions. The 1964-65 Embassy didn't sell so well as the "Top Six" Anon Cover version EPs sold more & even hit the EP Charts, 6 hits instead of 2. The Embassy ones are way better music quality as the 'Top Six' EPs reveal how weak they sound, we've tried many & didn't rate their Beat-Soul covers much, only keeping 7 tracks from the whole EP set as the earlier ones were shortened versions too.
