Paradise Pool - Wild Swimming - Linden - Blue Mountains - 4K

Paradise Pool at Linden in the Blue Mountains is a VERY popular wild swimming hole, possibly one of the most popular as it is quite easy to get to. Yes, there are stairs, and plenty of them, if you are moderately fit, you will have no issues with this walk, it is only 1.7k each way from the newly built carpark. The track is well marked and there are only a couple of turns at intersections, just read the signs and you will have no issues, don't read the signs and you can end up at Woodford, quite a few KMs away. There is a new sealed parking area on Railway Parade, just off Tollgate Drive, there are around 10 parking spaces, in summer, you will be lucky to get a parking spot and the pool will be crowded, so, pick the weekday and time of day you decide to visit. There is usually a sandy beach to enjoy and sit on, though very little shade. The water is very deep in places and amazing to swim in, we visited just a week out from winter, so the water, combined with a very strong breeze, made it very fresh. In this video, I do jump from the top of the falls, this is not advised, it is quite high, we checked the water below for snags and depth before we did this jump. Just because I did it, does not make it safe, the rocks at the top of the falls are VERY slippery! Over time, the water depth can change and new snags can be washed in, if you choose to jump, it is at your own risk. This location is in the Blue Mountains National Park, dogs are NOT allowed! Please keep this location pristine, take your rubbish and undies with you, don't leave them behind for others to deal with.
