The Siman group is a cutting-edge retailer in Central America that has fast-tracked its adoption of RFID tags and Clarity® software from SML to become the leading department store across the region. We used to have 70% inventory, accuracy. So, that's 30% of our inventory that we couldn't find. Siman is a family company, we've been around 101 years and we sell everything from cosmetics to clothing to big ticket items, like washing machines, and kitchen appliances. It took a lot of time before for us to a single inventory. At that store over 2,000 man-hours. It was just costly time-consuming and error-prone our store, clerks were also getting annoyed because you took one to two hours trying to find a single item in this 10,000 square meters store and we would lose customers because of that. So we went out looking for different solutions and and settled on SML’s RFID tag and Clarity® software bundle solution because it was “well tested, flexible enough, and had worldwide references from leading retailers.” Siman is also the first local retail chain in Central America to use RFID technology. So click and collect, customer buys online and they want to pick it up in the store. Siman uses a RFID scanner to find those items and the interaction with the scanner feels practical and agile. The changes since we implemented RFID is huge and creates more value for our customers. Inventory accuracy is one of the most crucial things you can have in a retail store so you can serve the customer.
