I have been asked this question a few times: Can you use pocket diapers like covers? This question is essentially asking 2 things: 1) do I have to stuff the insert in the pocket? Yes and no. If the insert is microfiber then yes, you have to stuff the insert into the pocket. Microfiber cannot go against the skin. Any other insert can go directly against the skin and you don't have to stuff. 2) can I reuse this pocket multiple times like I would a true diaper cover? no, I would not reuse this multiple times. It is a pocket diaper which means that it is a one time use diaper regardless if you stuff the insert into the pocket or not. Once it has been peed or pooped in it is considered soiled The reason you can reuse diaper covers is because it is not lined with a stay dry fabric. It is just a wipeable cover, while pocket diapers are not wipeable. I have seen some people cut out the fleece of their pocket diapers and by doing that it turns the diaper into a “cover”.
