I apologize for the crappy video. I don't have editing capability. However, anyone with an electric drill, a set of drill bits and wrenches / spanners can figure out what I've done: 1 mark on the pier side board where the upright will cross it, 2 drill pilot holes for the lag screws 1-2 inches above the bottom of the pier side board where the upright will cross. 3 drive lag screws in a little deeper than needed so they won't block installation, 4 mount KayaArm ( I used #12 x 3" screws, not included) 5 Use open end wrench to back the lag screws out toward the upright part until the screw head barely touches the upright. You're done.
