Last few innings of this Original USA Network Thursday Night Baseball Broadcast with Monte Moore and Wes Parker from Candlestick Park. Recorded and Digitalized off a pre recorded VHS tape later converted to DVD through a DVD burner (2002) and has recently been restored with some frame rate and some slight color corrections and a cleaned up audio talk added/laid down in post. There have been a few versions of this partial USA broadcast on youtube before, this originally VHS tape I've had in my archives for some time think I managed to put together a upgraded version adding this to my Phenia Films MLB archival Page for the first time. a tied game (3-3) going into the btm of the 6th and a few great defensive plays from the Cardinals outfielders throwing a few guys out at the plate helped by veteran catcher Ted Simmons blocking the plate making the tags on great throws from George Hendrick and Tony Scott pitchers in the game in the sixth are Jim Otten from St. Louis and Gary Lavelle in the top of the 7th as the Giants pick up 2 big runs in the 7th to take the 5-3 lead by back to back doubles from Darrell Evans and Rennie Stennett. Al Holland comes in the ninth inning and replaces Gary Lavelle and picking up his 4th Save of the 1980 season while Gary Lavelle get the win (4-5) while Cardinals John Urrea gets the loss.
