Endosonography instrument is a marriage of an Endoscope with a Sonography Machine. What is it used for? Staging for Esophageal and Paraesophageal tumors. Getting a biopsy from a PET Positive lymph node in the space between two lungs. Taking a biopsy from Pancreas, Pancreatic Tumors and Bile Duct Tumors. Confirming whether the bile duct has a presence of stone, which has cause Pancreatitis or Obstructive Jaundice. Confirming Gallbladder microlithiasis has a cause of Pancreatitis. Confirming presence of microlithiasis or small soft sludge seen on Gallbladder only on Endosonography. Doing a therapeutic procedure like putting Glue in Fundic Varix along with a Coilin a Large fundic Varix when a patient comes with blood vomiting. Draining a large pseudocyst or a world of necrosis, post pancreatitis, so that surgery or laparoscopy is avoided.
