In this video I show: 🔥 How to light your BBQ properly using a chimney starter 🔥 How to set up direct and indirect cooking zones 🔥 How to cook sausages evenly without burning them 🔥 How to cook chicken legs completely on the BBQ (no part-cooking in the oven) 🔥 When and why to use a temperature probe 🔥 The difference between a premium Thermapen and a cheap Amazon thermometer We cook: • Butcher’s pork sausages • Whole chicken legs (thigh + drumstick) • Mumtaz chicken tikka marinated thighs No fancy equipment. No expensive cuts. Just learning how to manage fire properly. The sausages took around 18–20 minutes and finished at 82–84°C. The chicken legs were cooked fully indirect for around 30–35 minutes before finishing over direct heat to crisp the skin — finishing safely above 74°C. This is beginner BBQ done properly.
