Let Us Be Bread

On the weekend of May 6th and again on the weekend of May 20th we will be incorporating a new hymn into our liturgical repertoire! “Let Us Be Bread” is a beautiful Eucharistic hymn by Thomas J. Porter written in 1990 that emphasizes that Augustinian notion that we are to become what we receive! Sometime in the coming days and weeks, we invite you to watch the video below set to the hymn "Let Us be Bread." Perhaps you can spend some time in prayer with this hymn and reflecting on the images from our Resurrection community so that when we introduce it at our liturgies in May it will ring familiar with us all! I hope you find beauty and inspiration in this hymn and slide show! May it serve as a reminder to all of us that just as we come to receive the Body and Blood of Christ so too are we called to BE the Body and Blood of Christ...to go out and bring nourishment to one another and to our world in need! “Let us be bread, blessed by the Lord, broken and shared, life for the world.
