Located in an old Sears catalog building in Atlanta, Ponce City Market is a mixed-use development featuring restaurants, a food hall, boutiques, offices, and residential buildings in addition to national and local retail anchors. In the Old Fourth Ward close to Virginia Highland and Midtown neighborhoods, it is situated next to the intersection of the Beltline and Ponce de Leon Avenue. From 1926 until 1987, Sears, Roebuck and Co. occupied the 2.1 million square foot building, which is among the largest in terms of volume in the Southeast United States. Later, the City of Atlanta repurposed the building as "City Hall East." 16 acres make up the building's lot. On August 25, 2014, Ponce City Market made its grand opening.
