Seven Seven Springs to Spur Cross

11/14/2020 - 11/15/2020 Backpacking: Seven Springs to Spur Cross For Troop 15's September campout, we went backpacking. Starting at the Seven Springs trailhead and ending 13 miles later at the Spur Cross trailhead, we hiked through a range of landscapes. We walked through creeks, foliage, trees, and desert. This gave Scouts an opportunity to get further into the wilderness and practice their skills in hiking and navigation. Scouts lead and navigated the group. History: To my knowledge, Troop 15 has done this hike two other times. The last time, we had difficulties due to there not being water to fill up on (this resulted in about ~12 miles being completed in a single day). The time before was a success. Troop 15 often considers this as an intermediate hike. You will also see a crested saguaro, a rare version of the native plant.
