Caffe Cordina is an institution in Malta and you won't be able to visit Valletta without going past it. It is always busy and buzzing and we visited for a tea break after a visit of the 3 cities. Ordered a honey ring, a couple of pastizz, as well as a chocolate fudge brownie. Coffee and Kinnie, of course! The display shelves were kinda empty when we were there so not as much choice, but we managed to get a seat quickly and got served promptly. They did give us a wrong pastizz (ricotta cheese instead of meat) but the pastizzi were tasty overall. We liked the honey ring as well as the choc fudge cake and coffee wasn't bad. All in all, it was a positive experience. There are many cafes in Valletta, but Caffe Cordina is probably the most distinctive and has had a long history. It is extremely popular and is one of those places you feel you need to visit at least once when in the capital.
