Back on Alton August 13th for 36 hours. An absolutely brilliant session with some very big bream. Wind changing from 0mph to 14mph. Air Temp, high 29c, low 18c (Night). Air pressure 1015 steady on the high side. Water condition good. This week, I'm going to go through everything in detail. An honest, straightforward analysis of my slightly left-field approach to fishing. Picking the right area in this weather. Then, where to fish in your chosen swim. Looking for features, depth variations, old irrigation channels, old river beds and so on. Showing how I do this using my "unique" marker float system. Baiting up, in detail, allowing for depths, cross winds, water movement, and so on. Getting fish into your swim and keeping them there. When to recast, and talk about the importance of being accurate. Triggering bites, or at least interest. Cherry picking the bigger fish, my approach. The rods and reels I use and why.
