This ride follows the road from Nakuru towards Lake Elementaita via Mbaruk. Off the main highway towards Mbaruk the traffic disappears. The horizon opens. Acacia trees dot the dry plains, and the land stretches under an enormous African sky. As we travel, the air changes, the light shifts, and the sense of space becomes almost tangible. Viewed from the hills above the lake, the Great Rift Valley reveals itself in layers — distant hills, volcanic formations, and the quiet presence of Lake Elementaita below. Thinking on Two Wheels is a quiet, observational series — less about speed and more about paying attention to the road, the landscape, and the rhythm of the ride.
