Howdy y'all, Taffy here! Today I wanted to showcase a good classic Touhou spinoff series "Fantastic Danmaku Festival". It is a very high budget spin off series with it's own unique twist on the mainline Touhou story by having it be more akin to "festivals"! I personally have been following this spinoff series since the first game (I published the ost on my old channel), and I wanted to do a playthrough on the newest one. The budget on this game compared to the first two is off the ROOF! I was so enamored by the demo that this was an instant day 1 purchase and stream (which you can watch on twitch.tv/mamitaffy). Regardless, I meant to upload gameplay footage much MUCH earlier. However, the newest patch completely desynced ALL my replays, so I am forced to do a live recording + playthrough of the game (which I don't mind at all). The new changes in this version include "last spells" as well as a new Eirin phase at the very end, which just ups the ante of such a well made fangame. As for the gameplay, it was definitely on the easier side in "hard" mode compared to the other 2 entries mostly due to the fact of the hyper mechanic they added + bullet clearing. I would have done a lunatic playthrough, but recording this at 2 AM on a weekday after a workday would have been a complete disaster, and Ultra mode is actual Lunatic+ difficulty which I haven't 1cc'ed yet.
