As soon as I arrived in Iran I decided to "skip" Tehran for the start and took the train to the next city: Qom. I wasn't really sure what to expect but oh my god what a great experience that was! Besides visiting the holy shrine and strolling around the city I met some really great people. In just one day I learned a lot about religion in Iran and more importantly that the locals are curious about other cultures, religions and lifestyles.
