This is a TAS: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tool-as... Here it is my B3 Trunks combos showcase compilation. It's been a blast working on such a cool character, he has so many options I couldn't decide which route to take... so I went for all of them! lol Of course, the combos featured in this video are all Tool Assisted, otherwise I couldn't have shown all Trunks' greatness. Music used is his DBFZ theme, while DBZ clips are taken from other videos I already had on my PC. Hope owners won't mind. **CHARACTER ANALYISIS** Trunks is a great character, rightly ranked in high tier. He deals nice damages, has decent frame data, 2 transformations and several good strings, with particular regard to the ones using his sword ("→P+KP", "→PP→PPP" and "K→KPP"), because those deal a long stun from the back. Up until now, all competitive players already knew he was even capable of pulling off an Infinite Ground Combo, but only from the back, exactly for that reason. I went along with it, but decided it wasn't good enough. First combo is the best Trunks' set up possible: SSj2, full Ki, from the back, distant enough to start the combo whiffing "→P+K" (that otherwise juggles the opponent). I finished it with his first Super move, "Buster Cannon", and passed to the next step. Second combo shows that Trunks can actually start an IGC from the front too, even if the opponent is guarding, because he has some cool strings that allows him to side-step. Tbh, my combo is obviously for showcasing, if you wanna do that, you're better off starting with "←KK" - sidestep - "K←K" and then RBD off of it or use one of his sword strings. It's much easier. I also showed he can use his Ki Blasts during the combo, connecting them with a transformation and P. I went so far using Hyper Mode in the middle of the combo and starting the DragonRush with his second Super move, "Finish Buster", to show further what he can do. But my gem is the third and final combo: an IGC... from the front. Everybody said it wasn't possible, but then I showed up and proved them otherwise. Ngl, coding it has been very hard: that backdash from "K←K" into "K→KP" isn't easy and I found out that chaining P after "→PP→PPP" off the ground isn't possible, unless you're facing a big opponent. Yes, Trunks' cancels are also height-dependent. So, I had to rethink my whole combo only to make it work. Not to mention ending it with his "Burning Slash" also required a planned set up. I also showed something many don't know: his finishing move DOES suffer from Damage Scaling; one of the few in Budokai 3 that does, actually. Last but not least, editing that Ultimate into a duel mode video without making it too obvious was tedious too. A lot of work, of course, but the result makes me happy. I'm satisfied. I believe there's no more to search inside his combos, move-pool and possibilities. I might as well do a tutorial about him too. I hope you'll like the video and appreciate the description. :')
