The Russian forces have once again failed to advance in the Toretsk sector, suffering heavy losses during an attempted assault on the village of Katerynivka. Fighters of the 5th Battalion, 12th Azov Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, successfully thwarted the attack, destroying five infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) loaded with enemy troops. According to reports, the Russian assault group advanced toward the outskirts of Katerynivka with a column of IFVs, each carrying approximately eight soldiers. The maneuver was aimed at breaking through Ukrainian defensive positions and establishing a foothold in the settlement.
