Four Cases of Cavernous hemangiomas || Hemangiomas Liver Cavernous hemangiomas are the most common benign tumors of the liver. They occur in all age groups but are more common in adults, particularly women. The vast majority of hemangiomas are small, asymptomatic, and discovered incidentally. The sonographic appearance of cavernous hemangioma varies. Typically the lesion is small, less than 3 cm in diameter, well defined, homogeneous, and hyperechoic. However, they can range in size from a few millimeters to more than 20 cm. When larger than 4 cm, they are termed giant hemangiomas. Color doppler; Hemangiomas are characterized by slow blood flow Case 1 Liver: Normal in size. Hepatic parenchymal echotexture is uniform all-over. A focal hyper-echoic mass located at right lobe measuring 1.51cm. Intrahepatic portion of IVC is normal. Portal vein is normal. Porta-hepatis is normal. Case 2 Liver: Normal in size shape. A hyperechoic mass with ill defined border measuring 3.05 x 1.79 cm, located segment 5 right lobe of the liver. Color Doppler shows no vascularity. CT Scan Post contrast scans reveal nodular pattern of enhancement of the lesion which also coincides with the arterial filling of cantrast. Case 3 Liver: Normal in size shape. There is a hyperechoic small lesion seen in the Left lobe of the liver measuring 3.07 x 2.72 cm. Doppler shows no vascularity. Case 4 Liver: Normal in size shape.
