Left femur, superior and medial to patella; superior to medial epicondyle: vastus medialus area. ping pong feel. Hard. Hurts worst in extension. Hurts to run or jump. Hasn't changed in size, feel, or location since 12/3/16 when I first noticed. 12/7 since first found no change in size, no temp, no redness. Always same feel. Bone growth? 12/9 diagnosed as osteochondroma; benign; referral to pediatric orthopod for further eval and plan 12/22 saw Dr. Abbott at U of M. It will continue to grow. will schedule surgery. We feel like we can feel a size difference in just a couple weeks. 1/6 outpatient surgery scheduled at U of M 5/9 removed on 1/6, had 6 wks follow up and has since fully healed and recovered. Patient is my son, a 13 year old male and is proud of his scar.
