Today was mostly a Fallout 4 day — and a big one. I talk about waking up early, grabbing my usual peanut breakfast, and diving straight into Survival mode with one clear objective: getting the Charisma bobblehead and unlocking the Local Leader perks. What followed was one of those perfect Fallout moments — a Deathclaw, bottlecap mines, a clean setup… and instant victory. And then, of course, disaster. A Windows shortcut, a crash, and a full day of progress gone. Survival mode being Survival mode. I reflect on pushing through, replaying everything, finally achieving the goal — and realizing that once the objective is gone, something feels different. That leads into a longer reflection on Dark Souls, going hollow, motivation, goals, and why the journey matters more than the destination.
