Xbox Series Dashboard Concept – 29/09/2023 It was great to see xbox on the same wavelength as my previous design and implement certain features in the current dashboard. Buttons for navigation, as well as seeing more of the actual wallpaper is something many fans have been asking for. I decided to merge the previous ideas I had made with the changes the official dashboard implemented while expanding on things. As with my previous dashboard design, everything you see here is designed in a way to mimic the design philosophy of the xbox UI – nothing should be out of bounds for the system, be it memory consumption or random flourish. To some this may appear more basic… But what’s the point in designing a UI that is all visuals, but is laggy or not possible? Hence I stuck to the original designs where possible. Some of the many changes presented in this video include: • A new Homescreen layout, with glanceable game statistics/info and navigation bar. • Rolling adverts, so that Microsoft still get “dem clicks” but you also maximise available space to what the user actually wants to see. • A new GameCard design, with time to beat statistics and more info. • A brand new redesigned Player Profile, complete with expanded Bio and more information at a glance. • An XP based ranking system, where every achievement has a value, and players will increase rank, including… • …the introduction of “Mastered” achievements. These are for when a player gets 100% of the achievements available. • A detailed Statistics page, where you can find breakdowns on achievements, game time and more. • A new look to the Achievements display, where game and DLC are finally separated, as well as a small flourish for 100%ed titles. • A split off rankings page, where you can match up against your friends and the world to see where you stand in both Gamerscore and Rank. • And the Captures page has now been moved to your profile, for easy access by your and your friends to see your media. • The Rewards page will be here also, however it was the same as the current one and so wasn’t shown. This current concept was designed from scratch over the previous ones as so much changed, and all in all took me around 2-3 hours creation time for all scripting, testing and asset creation. It was a fun experience, as it always is, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts! As always, updated can and will come soon based on feedback! Please share, like and all the usual gubbins. Thanks all!
