With this series, I wanted to explore some nostalgic old games that I think have qualities such as game design concepts or approaches that seem to be lacking in modern games. I think they were abandoned unnecessarily and could easily be brought back into modern game design without much issue and, in all honesty, could even improve a lot of games. This time, we're continuing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, from 2010. Despite the short gap between this game and AC2, there some great improvements. The step-up graphically alone is quite impressive, but the addition of things like the lifts to help speed up the parkour and execution streaks to make speed up the combat and make it more fun are fantastic as well. To be honest, the only issues I really run into in this video have to do with the PC port of the game and Ubisoft's more modern fuckery than with the game's design itself. 100%ed renovating Rome, got all the Borgia Flags, and finished up the Lairs of Romulus to acquire the Armor of Brutus. I think the next video might finish up this game, unless side content runs long, in which case it'll probably be two more videos. For business inquiries: timestopent@gmail.com
