Kopské sedlo (1750 m) is a saddle in the ridge of the Eastern Tatras , separating the High Tatras from the Belianské Tatras . South of it, the ridge rises to Predné Kopské sedlo (1778 m), north to Vyšné Kopské sedlo (1934 m). The saddle separates the valleys of Zadné Meďodoly in the west and Predné Meďodoly in the east. In the local dialect, they are called Koperšády. Although Kopské sedlo is a geomorphological boundary, geologically it belongs fully to the Belian Tatras – its base is limestone . This is related to the varied lime-loving flora of the meadows of the saddle area.
