The new WW PersonalPoints plan is now (as of October 25, 2021) launched in Australia and New Zealand and will be live in the United States, UK and Canada the week of November 7, 2021. In this WW video plan reveal, check out all the details we know so far. (Remember, I'm not associated with WW International. I'm a fellow member just like you! I am in the United States so I don't have the new plan on my app yet. This information is from readers in Australia who shared with me. While the U.S. W W plan might be slightly different, I think we can be confident that our plan will be almost the same.) The program will guide you through an assessment that asks questions like: -Are you diabetic? -How many times a week do you eat vegetables? -How many times a week do you eat fruit? -Do you eat sweets or salty treats? Red meat? Drink alcohol? -Choose favorite lean proteins. -Choose favorite whole grain starchy carbs. -Tell about your daily activity or steps. Then you will be given a personalized plan that is just for you. It will include your own list of zero point foods, your daily points budget and your weekly points allowance. Most current members will find their daily points and weekly allowance go down...BUT you now (for the first time ever) have the chance to earn points by eating vegetables, drinking water, and activity or step count. Other information - -The plan will automatically adjust for diabetics based on their assessment. -You can retake the quiz to adjust your zero point foods and daily points allowance. -Recipes currently in the app will have your personalized points listed. There will be ways to calculate other recipes. -Adapt for vegan and vegetarian WW plans by choosing plant-based proteins like legumes and tofu as your zero point foods. -Some foods with refined sugar and processed carbs will be higher in points. -Some whole foods will be lower in points, like avocado and nuts. -The app layout is very similar, making for a smooth adjustment if you are a current member. -The Blue, Green, and Purple plans will end.
