Alternate Reality Campaign - Full Clear

The current date is December 31st, 2025. It was just announced the world is a simulation and will be shutdown at the turn of the new year. Many are panicking but not all, in the bedroom of a small house a boy works tirelessly not to save the world but the record it for posterity. This is Alternate Reality a map/campaign by Nyan featuring over 250 rooms and 50 collectibles across 5+ maps remixed from notable maps that came out this year. Features a light story where Madeline tries to wrestle with the reality that her life is a simulation and what it means to be real. It's a super cool map and I think everyone should check out. With that out of the way I want to say I took a slightly different approach to editing. The maps are very open so I decided to let more clips play out more than usual because it feels it would fit the map more. That said it does get a little choppy in AR4 and AR5 because I got a lot of work calls, despite being on vacation, and had to AFK a lot. So you will see some awkward editing to cut out the moments where I stand still for a minute to hours. Opinions on the individual maps (potential spoilers): AR1 - Eu, você, ele e ela =============== What a surprise. I stumbled on this map by accident looking for another map and title made me interested cause it was Portuguese. Not even a week later it's the first map in Alternate Reality! I was genuinely surprised when I saw it in the trailer. It does a fantastic job of keep the aesthetic of the original maps, it was super fun to explore but boy do I not do a good job at exploring and have to replay the map afterwards to get all the berries I missed. Very good first map that really sets the tone/experience of the rest of the maps and my #4 map in the campaign if I had to rate them in a tier list. AR2 - Luxaris =============== I've seen this map a few times here and there but I haven't played it myself. This one was really fun as well unfortunately I'm really inexperienced with jelly platforms and it shows. I have some very creative solutions for a lot of rooms. I mastered the art of turning int rooms into yellow gm rooms. I have to play the original map now if it's anything like this. The moonberry was a lot more involved to unlock and having to make the connection of how to do it was cool. #3 in that hypothetical tier list. AR3 - Musispybappels Crawnslation Don(k)test Juckter03 =============== Woah that's a mouthful. Might be the easiest of all the maps but was also my favorite. The music, the aesthetic, the puzzles, and just the hilarity of it. The dialogue with noah crawfish, the frogs bouncing around, really everything bouncing around, the berries disintegrating, the room names, etc... It is just so charming. This is my favorite and not only is it on my list to play the original map it's at the top of my list right after desert. AR4 - Cotton Candy Constellation =============== If there's a tierlist there has to be a bottom but don't get it twisted. This is the bottom by favorite small margins. The other maps are just colossal titans. Map features donuts in every which way. I don't see donuts enough in maps so it has been cool and there has been some very fun rooms (no dash/no jump/no grab room???? How do you think of that). I definitely got lost the most in this map, the long breaks to do work does not help with trying to mentally map the place. I think that's potentially what dropped it to the bottom, there's a few rooms that are very tedious to backtrack through and you end up going through them a lot. The moonberry is crazy awesome though with flipped gravity + donuts. AR5 - Touch =============== As soon as I saw the title I thought of Daft Punk then I saw a few more suspicious lines and thought, wonder if this is a reference to the song. Then it dropped a long with the story oh my god. The music did so much for this level and I think already having an emotional history with the song maybe escalated to the next level. Fantastic finale for the 5 maps. Easily second favorite of the 5. AR6 - Antimatter Apex =============== A kinda heartside to the 5 maps that combine all the mechanics of the 5 maps into final challenge. The first flag gets a bit routeful and had me scratching my head for a bit. Again platform jelly strikes again to confuse me . Perfect climax to go with the ending which is incredibly emotional. No notes, perfect. If you took the time to read all this I appreciate it.
