Crossing from Bosnia and Herzegovina into Montenegro felt like a change in rhythm. After an intense Bosnia, Montenegro offered something quieter. I arrived in Podgorica at New Year’s. From there, I drove through Montenegro’s landscapes - from the mountain stronghold of Cetinje, the old royal capital, to the Adriatic coast. In Cetinje, Montenegro turns inward - shaped by mountains, faith, and persistence. On the Adriatic coast, Kotor tells a different story - maritime, Venetian, outward-looking.
