The Launch of 100 Greatest Australian Singles Of The '60s Book & CD

Ten years ago, on November 1st, 2015 saw not only the launch of both a book and CD, which will become a seminal work on Australian music from the 1960's, but the gathering of, and performances by some of Australia's greatest musicians/singers who were still with us from that period. Titled, "The 100 Greatest Australian Singles of the 60's, it listed and discussed each of those singles, and the tracks were then rovided on the accompanying CD's. Held at the iconic Memo Theatre in Melbourne's St Kilda, the venue was packed and the performances memorable. Sadly, in the ten years since the event, not only has co-author of the book Colin Talot passed away, so have some of these great musicians and artists, such as the legendary Bobby (Bob) Bright. This video has remained tucked away in an unlabeled folder on a computer and has been revived to honour the artists who made the cut, the authors and just as importantly, the amazing Aussie artists who performed on that night. We forgive some of the quality issues on the video, as it will remain a snapshot of a most memorable event.
