Matec is a producer and dj hailing from Halle, Germany. With over a decade of musical exploration, he transitioned from Electro to Dubstep, ultimately finding his groove in Drum and Bass. In 2018, while studying audio engineering, he became more serious about his music production endeavors. A turning point came in 2020 with the win of a Remix Competition on Four Corners Music. The confidence gained led him to produce more, connect with labels, and bring his creations to life. In 2021, the first original track "Loosen" made its debut on Four Corners Music's Foundation Vol. 4 VA. The following year saw the release of his first EP, "Miura," with Delta 9 Recordings, garnering early support from the likes of QZB at Let It Roll. As part of his musical journey, Matthias has released singles, whether independently or through a small label he co-founded with university friends. This paved the way for a monthly release spree across various labels, showcasing his versatility in styles. His work found a home on labels such as Detached Audio, Calibrate Records, Delta 9 Recordings, ID Bogota Music, T3K Recordings, EPO22 and All172Things. Not confined to a single subgenre, Matec's music has undergone a noticeable evolution both musically and qualitatively.
