And yet, the US government grows some of the purest pot in the country, spending almost a million dollars a year on a contract with the University of Mississippi to grow cannabis and manufacture marijuana cigarettes. The UMiss farm is currently the only source in the US for legal marijuana for researchers, and the government currently gives it away to researchers who get all the right approvals.
